From San Juan

Take the Autopista Route 22 West (Oeste) (approx. $5.00 in Tolls) from San Juan to the last exit (approximately 55 miles / 70 minutes). (Depending on your travel time, traffic may be difficult. See Alternate below…..)

At the termination, Route 22 Exits directly onto Route 2 West. Continue on Route 2 West.  At traffic light no. 1, Pass Sam’s Club on Left – El Buen Café Hotel & Restaurant (highly recommended for B / L / D) on Right.

Continue on Rt. 2 West past traffic light no. 2 (Texaco on left / Jazzmini's Pizza & Centro de Gomas (Tire Center) on right.) Best to get into the Right Lane along here.  Approximately 1 mile to Route 119 South (Sur).

Road ‘Y’s’ at the eastern Intersection with Route 119 just before traffic light no. 3. (Monument to the Farmers and Soldiers at the point will be on your Left).

Yield into the Right Fork onto Route 119 South.  ( Hotel Rosa del Mar - Large turquoise hotel -  will be high on the hill to the left ). (If you are at the third traffic light, or the Rosa del mar is on your right, you went a bit too far on Route 2. See ‘*’ below.)

Up the hill about one half mile, Take the second Right turn off of Rt. 119 – (there will be a 'Speedway' gas station and a neighborhood supermarket on the left at the top of the hill – the right turn is directly across from the supermarket. You will see a sign part way down the hill on the right that says “Bienvenidos a San Ramon”.)

Continue down the hill to the street that borders the ocean. Beware of the speed bumps (and the wild chickens)!

At the Bottom, Turn Left (the ocean will be on your right).

Continue past one street on the LeftC9 is the Third House on the left past the side street.

    * If you are at the 3rd traffic light or the Hotel Rosa del Mar is on your right, merely make the next right into the Marginal Road or at the next traffic light at the Cash & Carry market.  Turn North at the side street next to the Burger King.  Turn Left onto Route 119 and continue as above.  (Another option is to continue to the next traffic light at Route 130 and turn right and proceed through Hatillo as from Aguadilla described below.)

Alternate At nearly any exit from Route 22, it is possible to exit and travel a short distance to the Old Route 2.  Route 2 passes through Arecibo then Hatillo and is an acceptable alternate if necessary.  However, travel time will be longer as the speed limit is lower and Route 2 passes through many small towns along the way. Expect approx. 2 hours travel time – with patience, Route 22 traffic will usually clear near the Bayamon exit.  If Route 2 is selected, it is recommended that one of the exits AFTER Bayamon or Ft. Buchanan be chosen. Route 2 Oeste will take you directly to the intersection of Route 119 South in Hatillo. You will find gas stations, pizza shops and several fast food favorites along Route 2 (there is nothing similar with no roadside stops or service stations along Route 22).

From Aguadilla

Take Route 2 East (Este) from Aguadilla (approximately 35 miles / 50 minutes).  Toward Camuy, Hatillo, Arecibo, San Juan.

Route 2 passes the western intersection with Route 119.  (It is possible but not recommended to follow Route 119 North through Camuy then Hatillo from this intersection but the drive is more difficult and slower with several unmarked 'Y's').

Continue past this first intersection with Route 119 but be sure to turn Left at the intersection with Route 130 North (or, if you pass Route 130) the NEXT intersection with Route 119 South (Sur).

(If you take the first intersection of Route 119 North from Route 2 East, continue through the towns of Camuy and Hatillo.)

# It is recommended that you continue on Route 2 East past the Western intersection with Route 119 (approximately 3 miles).  Turn Left at the intersection with Route 130 North. A shopping center featuring Amigo’s Supermarket will be on the Right (SE corner) as well as a Raceway service station.

Continue through Hatillo to Route 119 North (about one mile).

Turn Right on Route 119 (North) at the Stop (Pare) sign. Continue up the hill. At the crest of the hill, you will pass Brendalee’s Bakery (Panaderia) on the corner on your right. At the next intersection, turn Left  (Hatillo Post Office will be on the Right (SW corner) – on the far side is a neighborhood super market / liquor store next to a 'Speedway' gas station).

You will see a sign part way down the hill on the right that says “Bienvenidos a San Ramon”.

Continue down the hill to the street that borders the ocean. Beware of the speed bumps (and the wild chickens)!
